Domani International Boat Forum, “Velisti per Caso”  e portualità ligure

Si è tenuto questa mattina il convegno organizzato da UCINA “Nautica e fisco, un patto per la competitività”, che ha tracciato un quadro di politiche fiscali, procedure doganali, leasing e prassi amministrative, proponendo un confronto tra amministrazioni pubbliche e operatori nazionali e internazionali alla luce delle sfide che l’economia globale pone alla nautica da diporto. “L’emanazione della recente circolare dell’Agenzia delle Entrate in materia di IVA sulle attività di noleggio e locazione mi rende convinto che siamo sulla strada giusta perché il fisco possa fare la pace con la nautica” ha dichiarato, nel suo intervento, il Presidente UCINA Anton Francesco Albertoni.
All’incontro, concluso da Alberto Giorgetti - Sottosegretario al Ministero dell’Economia e delle Finanze, hanno preso parte, tra gli altri, Gianfranco Conte - Presidente della Commissione Finanze della Camera, Arturo Betunio - Direttore della Direzione Centrale Normativa dell’Agenzia delle Entrate, Lorenzo Selva - Presidente ICOMIA e Maurizio Lazzaroni - Presidente di Assilea. Il dibattito si è aperto con la presentazione dall’indagine “La pratica del diportismo in Italia”, realizzata dall’Istituto ISPO del Professor Mannheimer. La ricerca ha offerto una fotografia sull’uso della barca. In particolare, sull’opinione degli stessi in merito ai controlli fiscali emerge che sono troppi e danneggiano il comparto, ma il 67% ritiene siano svolti in maniera puntuale e professionale.

Gli appuntamenti di domani, martedì 4 ottobre

Alle 10.30 nella sala Mezzanino del padiglione B si terrà l’International Boating Forum, primo appuntamento di una tavola rotonda internazionale che offrirà un’occasione unica di confronto tra i principali protagonisti dell’eccellenza dell’industria nautica mondiale, per fare il punto sul futuro di un settore che ha duramente subito la crisi finanziaria mondiale del biennio 2008-10 e ora cerca nuove vie di sviluppo. Intervengono Norberto Ferretti (Ferretti Group), Dustan Mc Coy (Brunswick Corporation), Paolo Vitelli (Azimut Benetti), Leonardo Ferragamo (Ferragamo). Modera Victor Mallet, giornalista del Financial Times.

Attesi in mattinata Patrizio Roversi e Syusy Blady, i “Velisti per caso” che alle 11.30 in sala stampa presenteranno il portolano anfibio dell’Imperiese, appuntamento curato dalla Regione Liguria. Roversi e Blady alle 17 incontreranno poi il pubblico al Teatro del Mare.

Sempre in mattinata due gli appuntamenti al Teatro del Mare, entrambi organizzati dalla Federazione Italiana Vela: alle 11 presentazione dei Campionati invernali d’altura, a seguire alle 12 presentazione del Winter Contest.

Lo stesso Teatro del Mare sarà il palcoscenico per altri eventi pomeridiani, oltre a quello delle 17 ricordato in precedenza: alle 14 la presentazione del progetto sui “Mestieri del mare” a cura di Fondazione Carige e Accademia della Marina Mercantile. Alle 16 conferenza su Le spiagge del Mediterraneo: un bene comune del comandante Cosmo Picca, presidente della Onlus "Insieme per il mare".

Alle 15 alla sala Mezzanino del padiglione B nell’ambito del Progetto TPE (Rete dei porti turistici per la sostenibilità ambientale), sarà presentato lo studio “Prospettive di evoluzione della portualità ligure”, curato dall’Osservatorio Nautico Nazionale. E’ un evento organizzato da Camera di Commercio di Genova e Assonautica Provinciale di Genova durante il quale interverranno Maurizio Caviglia, segretario generale della Camera di Commercio di Genova, Fabio Pesto, presidente di Assonautica Genova e Gianmarco Ugolini, autore della ricerca.

Tra le visite in programma alle 11 l’ambasciatore della Gran Bretagna Christopher Prentice e alle 13 il nuovo console generale degli Stati Uniti Kyle Scott.

The conference organised by UCINA “Nautica e fisco, un patto per la competitività” (The Boating Industry and the Taxman: working together to increase competitiveness) was held this morning and outlined the current situation as regards tax policies, customs procedures, leasing, and administrative procedures. The conference offered the opportunity for a debate between and among public administration representatives and Italian and foreign operators in the light of the challenges constantly posed to the recreational boating sector by the global economy. “The recent issuing of the Italian Revenue Agency’s circular regarding VAT and leasing & rental activities persuaded me that we are working in the right direction to reconcile the taxman with the boating sector”, stated UCINA’s President Anton Francesco Albertoni in his speech.
The conference, whose conclusions were drawn by Alberto Giorgetti – Italy’s Undersecretary to the Ministry for the Economy and Financial Affairs -, was attended, among others, by Gianfranco Conte (Chairman of the Italian Chamber of Deputies' Commission for Financial Affairs), Arturo Betunio (Director of the Italian Revenue Agency’s Central Regulatory Department), Lorenzo Selva (President of ICOMIA) and Maurizio Lazzaroni (President of Assilea). The conference started with the presentation of the results of the survey “La pratica del diportismo in Italia” (Recreational boating in Italy) carried out by Professor Mannheimer’s ISPO Institute. The survey offered a snapshot of the use of boats in Italy. In particular, when asked about tax assessments, the respondents stated that there are too many of them and that they go to the detriment of the whole sector; on the other hand, 67% think they are performed in an accurate and professional way.

Tomorrow’s events at the Show – Tuesday, 4 October
The first meeting of the International Boating Forum will be held today at 10.30 am in the Mezzanine Hall of Pavilion B. The Forum is an international round table that will offer the leading players of the boating industry at a worldwide level a unique chance to take stock of the current situation and talk about future perspectives in this sector, which has been heavily affected by the world financial crisis that occurred between 2008 and 2010 and is now looking for new development opportunities. Norberto Ferretti (Ferretti Group), Dustan Mc Coy (Brunswick Corporation), Paolo Vitelli (Azimut Benetti), Leonardo Ferragamo (Ferragamo) will take the floor. The Forum will be chaired by Victor Mallet, journalist of the Financial Times.

“Sailors by chance” ("Velisti per caso" - in Italian - is the title of their TV programme) Patrizio Roversi and Syusi Blady will present the video Portolan Chart of the Imperia coastal and inland areas at 11.30 at the Press Centre. This event has been organised by the Liguria Region Council. Mr Roversi and Ms Blady will then meet the Boat Show’s public at 5.00 pm at the Sea Theatre.

Two events will be held at the Sea Theatre in the morning, both organised by the Italian Sailing Federation: at 11.00 am, presentation of the Winter deep sea championships; at 12 noon, presentation of the Winter Contest.

The Sea Theatre will host other events in the afternoon, besides the one at 5.00 pm mentioned above: at 2.00 pm, presentation of the project on sea-related professions ("Mestieri del mare"), organised by Fondazione Carige and Accademia della Marina Mercantile (the Merchant Navy Academy). At 4.00 pm, conference “Le spiagge del Mediterraneo: un bene commune” (Mediterranean beaches: a common good) by Captain Cosmo Picca, President of the non-profit association "Insieme per il mare".

At 4.00 pm the Press Centre will host the presentation of the third Carlo Marincovich journalism award.

The survey "Prospettive di evoluzione della portualità ligure" (Liguria's ports and marinas: prospect for evolution), performed by the Italian Boating Sector Observatory, will be presented at 3.00 pm in the Mezzanine Hall of Pavilion B, as part of the TPE Project (Network of marinas for environmental sustainability). This event has been organised by Genoa Chamber of Commerce and Genoa Province’s Assonautica; Maurizio Caviglia (Genoa Chamber of Commerce’s General Secretary), Fabio Pesto (President of Assonautica Genova) and Gianmarco Ugolini, who performed the survey, will take the floor.

Great Britain’s Ambassador, Christopher Prentice will visit the Show at 11.00 am; at 1.00 pm visit of the United States Consul-General, Kyle Scott.

Opening hours and admissions
The Show will be open every day until Sunday 10 October, from 10.00 am to 6.30 pm. The ticket costs € 15; concessions: € 12 for groups of at least 30 people, military personnel, disabled people, and children aged between 6 and 10 years; admission free for children up to the age of 5. Concessions may not be combined with any other offers or pre-sale promotions.
